Del Mar by Joy Resorts is an all-suite oceanfront hotel surrounded by nature within the Cap Cana luxury resort in Punta Cana. The property features a pool overlooking the sea, a relaxing Jacuzzi, and a Spa with a beauty salon. The hotel also has a convenience store, restaurants that serve seafood, Caribbean cuisine, and Spanish specialties; and bars to enjoy cocktails, including one in the pool. For entertainment, there are children's activities, ping-pong, volleyball, bocce, cooking classes, music or karaoke nights, a tour desk to explore the local attractions, and free WiFi in the lobby. The hotel offers an all-inclusive plan and provides transportation to the Punta Espada Golf Club for an extra charge.

The 122 studios and suites are decorated with light shades and Caribbean details. Studios are fitted with air conditioning, mattresses with deluxe bed linens, balcony or terrace, flat-screen cable TV, in-room safe, mini-refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, and paying high-speed internet access. In addition, suites have one or two bedrooms, a kitchen equipped with refrigerator, and a terrace with Jacuzzi. The property also offers two-level lofts with lounge-style decor. The hotel offers babysitting service upon request and accepts dogs (fees and restrictions apply).

The property was designed by the Mexican architectural firm GVA, and is facing Coralina Beach, 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from the Punta Espada Golf Club and 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) from Cap Cana Marina. Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from the hotel.
